Lisa Lee, PhD, Lic. Ac., FEA, MCAUK, MBAcC is a fully qualified and licensed Five-Element acupuncturist, who as a Member of the British Acupuncture Council ensures all her treatments adhere to the highest standards of safety and competency. She has experience treating a wide range of issues affecting men, women and children coming to her clinics, including reproductive health and gynaecological problems, fertility and supporting patients undergoing IVF, acute and chronic pain conditions (e.g. sports injuries, back pain, sciatica, fibromyalgia, RSI, carpal tunnel syndrome, trigeminal neuralgia), general stress, anxiety and panic attacks, insomnia, migraines and headaches, tinnitus, problems with sensory functions, digestive disorders, allergies including hay fever and facial concerns. Lisa’s approach to treatment places a strong emphasis on understanding the root cause of every client’s health and wellbeing issues and on establishing their goals. This understanding of individuals’ physical and emotional health is incorporated into every treatment she delivers, to ensure the very best results for every client as our testimonials show.
Lisa is an Anxiety UK Approved Practitioner providing therapeutic support to the charity’s members and partner beneficiaries. Lisa is subject to Anxiety UK’s regular monitoring of her professional qualifications, continual professional development, insurance and professional body membership in addition to complying with the ethical framework and professional standards set down by her registered governing body. Keen also to make the benefits of acupuncture available outside of her clinics, Lisa is part of the team of volunteer acupuncturists working at the Macmillan Horizon Centre in Brighton, a partnership between Macmillan Cancer Support, the Sussex Cancer Fund and Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust to offer specialist support to cancer patients.
Lisa has a background in academic research which has given her an important basis for her work as an acupuncturist, and helps her keep abreast of the latest research in the field of acupuncture, health and well-being.
Originally from New Zealand and having spent her childhood there, as well as in France and Switzerland, Lisa grew up spending as much time as possible in the outdoors, and she still goes running, skiing and mountain-biking as often as she can.
